Open Client

The Open Client command allows you to open an existing ProVal client.

To open a client, you can type in a path for the Open client in directory parameter, click the Browse button and navigate to a directory that you then select.  Note that although ProVal client files are present, Windows may display "No items match your search"; click OK, anyway, to paste the path to the ProVal client into the Open client in directory parameter.  Alternatively, you may simply click the name of a Previously opened client from the list.  You can sort the list of previously opened clients by Name or by the date you Last opened the client. Note that the list of previously opened clients is saved per ProVal user; it is not shared with others.

Click the Omit button, to remove a previously opened client from the list; this will remove the client name from your list of previously opened clients but will not actually delete the underlying client files.

Clicking the Open button will first attempt to open the client with Read/Write access; if that fails, because another user is currently using the client, you will be prompted whether to open the client with Read Only privileges.  To directly open the client Read Only, click the arrow next to the Open button and click “Open Read Only”.
