View Error Log
The View Error Log command allows you to display all errors logged in the current database. The log indicates the key id of each record and the data item(s) involved in the error and includes information about the error that was found.
Errors are identified through the Import Data, Find Duplicates, and Screen Data commands. When any of these processes identifies errors, you are given the option to save them to the Error Log that is associated with the database. You will also have the option at that time to append the error messages to those already in the log or to replace the prior log contents with the new errors.
When you View the Error Log, you will have the option to erase Errors. You can either erase all errors that have been stored or choose from a listing of errors that have occurred (e.g., "Active - hire age outside of valid range…").
Errors that have been logged can also be reviewed in Spreadsheet Edit. For more information on using Spreadsheet Edit with errors, see Find data errors and Work with data errors.
