Import Corrections
The Import Corrections command lets you import data corrections from an Excel workbook originally generated by Data Questions and revised by your client or colleague. Corrections are merged into the current database, replacing existing values.
It is recommended that you review the Excel workbook before importing corrections. Some things to look for:
ProVal expects you to import corrections into the same database (or a copy of the same database) used to generate the Excel workbook. In particular, it expects that the RecIDs for the records in the spreadsheet have not changed.
To import the corrections, open the database, click Screen > Import Corrections, and select the Excel workbook file. Before saving the corrections to the database, ProVal will confirm how many corrections will be imported and how many will be ignored (e.g., because the correction is already reflected in the database). For details on corrections that were ignored, click the Warning Details button.
You can see the specifics of the imported corrections by reviewing the database's Change History.
Any errors associated with the corrected data will be removed from the database's error log. You can re-run Find Duplicates or Screen Data to verify that errors, in fact, have been resolved.
