The Database topic of the U.S. PBGC XRA tool specifies the database file containing, for each participant record you wish to process, the fields required for the expected retirement age (XRA) calculations and the field in which you wish to save the XRA result.

Choose the Database file that contains the records for the active and vested participants whose XRA you wish to calculate. The result of the XRA calculation will be written back to the Database file in the XRA Result field, a numeric field in the Data Dictionary. If the field in which you wish to save the XRA does not yet exist or is hidden from the current Project, click the New button, which leads you to a new Data Dictionary entry and the Unhide button.

Check Output details to write the following four additional fields back to the Database file:

1. zXRA_URA - unreduced retirement age
2. zXRA_ERA - early retirement age
3. zXRA_URAyr - the year participant reaches unreduced retirement age
4. zXRA_Category - Category of accrued benefit (low, medium, high)

You may enter a Selection Expression to pick the participants to include in the run. If no expression is entered, all records will be included in the run. To retrieve a previously saved Selection Expression library entry, click the button.
