Map database codes to Benefit Promises

German pension mode

Clicking the Promise Map topic of a Plan Definition leads to the “Map database codes to Benefit Promises” dialog box, in which a check in the Value benefit promises only for specified database codes box indicates that each Benefit Promise will be valued only for participants with a coded field value that has been mapped to that promise. This will be applied in addition to the Selection Expression that is specified in the Benefit Promise.

Select from the list (of all coded fields unhidden in the current Project) that appears when you click the arrow for the parameter Coded database field. In the spreadsheet displayed, each code of the selected field appears in the Database Code Column. For each code, click its row in the Benefit Promise column and then click the arrow that appears. Choose the applicable Benefit Promise from the list of all Benefit Promises included in the Plan Definition. The first row of any notes that have been entered in the Benefit Promise will be displayed in the spreadsheet. In addition, the full text of the Notes for the currently selected Benefit Promise, if any (i.e., the cursor is in the Benefit Promise column and a Benefit Promise is selected from the list), will be displayed below, in the Notes for selected Benefit Promise box (the parameter’s name will change to display the name of the currently selected promise).

To exclude some database codes from the spreadsheet, click the Add / Omit codes button. Uncheck any database codes that you wish to exclude from the spreadsheet. Participants with excluded database codes will not be valued for any Benefit Promise.
