A Salary Definition Set is comprised of one or more Salary Definitions. This library allows you to define the salaries that will be used in salary-based components throughout ProAdmin. The main areas where you will use Salary Definitions Sets are Census Specifications and the creation of custom operators for Final Average Salary, Salary, and U.S. Social Security Primary Insurance Amounts.

Name may be any descriptive phrase that identifies the Salary Definition Set to you. The name can be of any length and may use any character or spaces.

The Edit Sal. Def… button allows you to go directly into the Salary Definition library to browse, edit or set up new definitions.

Included Salary Definition(s): makes use of a three-column spreadsheet interface. If 2 or more Salary Definitions are used in a Salary Definition Set, the definitions are delineated by specific dates along the range of the Set. The From column is where you enter the effective date for the Salary Definition. The To field is not an editable field and is set to the day before the date entered in the next following From field. The Salary Definition column provides a multi-choice field which allows you to pick from the current entries in the Salary Definition library. This structure in the creation of the Salary Definition Set gives you the ability to vary a salary definition over time. The rules about how the salary is derived are set in the Salary Definition.
