ProAdmin is set up so any errors and/or warnings that you define through the Error/Warnings Library, such as that the participant is not yet vested, can be written to the XML output document. Having access to this information in the XML document allows you to use the information at the end of an online calculation. This dialog box presents optional choices for storing the information regarding the errors and/or warnings that you set up.  

Check the Write out user-defined errors/warnings box to designate the container path and tag name for storage of error/warning information on the XML output document. Checking this box makes the rest of the dialog box available.

The Specify an XML container: box contains the container and path in the Output XML where any user-defined errors or warnings will be stored.  Click the button to select the XML path from those in the XML schema.

Check XML container for decrement date level messages: to include the user-defined error and/or warnings at the decrement level of the XML output.  Only user-defined errors and/or warnings evaluated at the decrement date will be written to this level if the criteria is met at the given decrement date.  If checked, enter the container path and tag name for storage of the error/warning information at the decrement level on the XML output document. Click the  button to select the tag from those in the decrement level XML container selected on the main dialog of the XML Output Definition. XML output to the decrement level will be replicated based on selections below (i.e., the container will include Errors/Warnings Flag, Codes, and the Message as selected).    

Check XML container for commencement date level messages: to include the user-defined error and/or warnings at the commencement level of the XML output.  Only user defined errors and/or warnings evaluated at the commencement date(s) will be written to this level if the criteria is met at the commencement date.  If checked, enter the container path and tag name for storage of the error/warning information at the commencement level on the XML output document.  Click the  button to select the tag from those in the commencement level (within Benefit or Decrement) XML container selected on the main dialog of the XML Output Definition. XML output to the commencement level will be replicated based on selections below (i.e., the container will include Errors/Warnings Flag, Codes, and the Message as selected).    

There are several optional output items that can be stored in the output XML location for user-defined errors and warnings.  At least one optional item must be selected for any information to be written to the XML file.  In each case where an option is selected, clicking on the   button allows you to select the tag from those in the user-defined errors/warnings XML container selected at the top of this dialog.

• Check Errors/Warnings Flag to provide a flag that indicates whether the result is an error or a warning.  If checked, Tag: specifies the tag name that will contain the flag; Error Value: specifies the text descriptor that will be written to the tag when a user-defined error occurs; and Warning Value: specifies the text descriptor that will be written to the tag when a user-defined warning occurs.

• Check Code (from the Message Definition) to include in the XML output the "Code for output (optional)" that was specified as part of the Message Definition referenced in the Errors/Warnings library entry.  If checked, Tag: specifies the tag name that will contain the code.  

• Check Message to include in the XML output the "Message" that was specified as part of the Message Definition referenced in the Errors/Warnings library entry.  If checked, Tag: specifies the tag name that will contain the message.  

• Check Error Type Code to provide an identification in the XML output that this is a user-defined error or warning.  If checked, Tag: specifies the tag name that will contain the identification, and Value: specifies the text description (e.g., "User") for the error type. 

Check Write out the decrement date with each error/warning to include the decrement date in the output XML when a user-defined error or warning occurs.  If checked, Tag: specifies the tag name that will contain the decrement date.

Check Write out the commencement date with each error/warning to include the commencement date in the output XML when a user-defined error or warning occurs.  If checked, Tag: specifies the tag name that will contain the commencement date.
