Reported hours examples

Reported Hours are generally provided in array form with either an effective date or start and stop dates. ProAdmin can only accumulate values when the array uses Start and Stop dates.

Reported Hours can be provided in the form of the number of hours worked during a specific period of time (month, year, etc.) or the number of hours accumulated during a measurement period. In the examples shown below the measurement period is a calendar year:

_________________ ___________With start and stop dates__________ ____________________

Reported hours during a specific period of time (quarter) Reported hours accumulated during a Measurement Period

1/1/2007 3/31/2007 449.25 1/1/2007 3/31/2007 449.25
4/1/2007 6/30/2007 422.75 4/1/2007 6/30/2007 922.00
7/1/2007 9/30/2007 505.75 7/1/2007 9/30/2007 1427.75
10/1/2007 12/31/2007 505.00 10/1/2007 12/31/2007 1932.75
In this case you want ProAdmin to accumulate the hours over the calendar year measurement period. In this scenario, ProAdmin should not accumulate the hours. It should use the value at the end of the measurement period.

___________________ ____________With effective dates__________ _________________________

Reported hours at an effective date (quarter) Reported hours accumulated during a Measurement Period at effective dates

3/31/2007 449.25 3/31/2007 499.25
6/30/2007 422.75 6/30/2007 922.75
9/30/2007 505.75 9/30/2007 1427.75
12/31/2007 505.00 12/31/2007 1932.75

When using an effective dated array ProAdmin will not accumulate the hours over the measurement period. In this case start dates must be provided. Under this scenario, the hours needed are provided at the end of the measurement period. No accumulation by ProAdmin is needed.
