Reported service units examples
Reported Service Units are generally provided in array form with either an effective date or start and stop dates. ProAdmin can only be set to accumulate values when the array uses Start and Stop dates.
Reported Service Units can be provided in the form of the number of service units worked during a specific period of time (month, year, etc.) or the number of hours (or service units) accumulated during a measurement period. In the examples shown below the measurement period is a calendar year:
___________________ _________With start and stop dates_____________ _________________
Reported service units during a specific period of time (quarter) | Reported service units accumulated during a Measurement Period |
1/1/2007 | 3/31/2007 | 0.24 | 1/1/2007 | 3/31/2007 | 0.24
4/1/2007 | 6/30/2007 | 0.24 | 4/1/2007 | 6/30/2007 | 0.48
7/1/2007 | 9/30/2007 | 0.23 | 7/1/2007 | 9/30/2007 | 0.71
10/1/2007 | 12/31/2007 | 0.25 | 10/1/2007 | 12/31/2007 | 0.96 |
In this case you want ProAdmin to accumulate the service units over the calendar year measurement period. | In this scenario, ProAdmin should not accumulate the values. It should use the value at the end of the measurement period |
__________ _____________ ____With effective dates___________________________ ____________
Reported service units during a specific period of time (quarter) | Reported service units accumulated during a Measurement Period at an effective date |
3/31/2007 | 0.24 | 3/31/2007 | 0.24
6/30/2007 | 0.24 | 6/30/2007 | 0.48
9/30/2007 | 0.23 | 9/30/2007 | 0.71
12/31/2007 | 0.25 | 12/31/2007 | 0.96 |
When using an effective dated array, ProAdmin will not accumulate the service units over the measurement period. In this case start dates must be provided. | Under this scenario, the service units for the measurement period are provided at the end of the measurement period. |
