Sometime it is appropriate to have salaries "accrue" after decrement. To accomplish this, under the Last Salary topic, specify that the Last salary includes: > Salaries thru salary stop date: > Later of decrement and Eligibility Definition:  and specify an Eligibility Definition with a long duration (e.g., age 100).

One reason for parameterizing a Salary Definition this way is to model a plan feature that is not actually a salary but has some of a salary's key characteristics such as: grows during the plan year but then re-starts at the next plan year.
