Working with the Toolbar

The toolbar is a collection of buttons that give you quick mouse access to many of ProGraph’s features.

File Buttons:

image/TBAR10.gif Lets you open a previously saved graph. For details, see How to Open a Graph.

image/TBAR11.gif Lets you save the actual graph to a file. For details, see How to Save a Graph.

image/TBAR12.gif Lets you copy to the clipboard as a picture. For details, see the Edit Menu.

image/TBAR14.gif Lets you print the graph displayed, with all of its contents and formats. Clicking this icon will print the graph, which will fill an entire page.

Gallery Button:

image/TBAR24.gif Lets you select a graph type from the Gallery. For more information, see the Gallery.

3D Buttons:

image/TBAR6.gif Lets you turn on or off the three-dimensional (3D) option for the current graph. Clicking this icon toggles between 3D and two-dimensional (2D) graphs.

image/TBAR9.gif Lets you select a region of the graph to ZOOM in on. For details, see Zoom In capabilities.

Utility Buttons:

image/TBAR15.gif Lets you change the text of any titles (left, right, top or bottom) displayed in the graph. For details, see Titles Tab.

image/TBAR16.gif Lets you change the font of any text displayed in the graph. For details, see the discussion of fonts under the Format Menu.

image/TBAR18.gif Lets you access the Chart Properties dialog box. For details, see Working with Graph Properties.

image/TBAR27.gif Click this icon to move to the previous open graph, if any.

image/TBAR28.gif Click this icon to move to the next open graph, if any.

image/TBAR29.gif Click this icon to close the graph and return to ProVal.

Floating Toolbar:

To make the toolbar float, you can double click on any part of it. To return the toolbar to its original position, just double click on it again. (Note: Hide the palette bar first and display it after the toolbar is returned to its original position. Otherwise, the toolbar will appear below the palette bar. See the View Menu for instructions on how to hide and display tools.)
